Do you need unique Christmas gifts at reasonable prices? Then look no further, the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is conducting ArtSpree now until the end of the year. ArtSpree features 14 local artists selling their work through the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art Gift Shop. The local artists include: Tina Bly, Roger Shell, Nadia Ellis, Candace Coker, Daryl Talbot, Joel Carmichael, Linda Kesler, Paul Pfrehm, Sister Eugenia Brown, Julie Blackstone, Clay Little, Virginia Ginsberg, Kristi Hall, and Laura Byland.
"This is a wonderful way to purchase beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of art for your friends and family for Christmas," said Delaynna Trim, Curator of Collections and Gift Shop Manager. "In addition, I have placed many of our regular items on sale. This is a great time to stock up on birthday and wedding gifts as well."
Museum members can take an additional 10% off their total purchases in addition to the other sales going on. Visitors do not have to pay admission to museum just to shop at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art Gift Shop.
"I would love to see the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art Gift Shop become a shopping destination for unique gifts. We have many local artists and artisans consign their works through the gift shop all year long. This is a way to support your local artists and get great gifts," added Delaynna Trim.
The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is located on the campus of St. Gregory's University, 1900 W. MacArthur St. in Shawnee.
