The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is teaming up with the Salvation Army and Oklahoma artists to help fight hunger. This year, the MGMoA Regional Art Exhibit has revived the theme: Doing What We CAN to Help. Artists from the state of Oklahoma are participating by submitting artworks that reference hunger or cans, including, but not limited to, artworks created on cans or from can materials, or artworks that include representations of cans, or artworks that address the theme of hunger.
During the run of the exhibit, the museum will waive the admission fee for each visitor donating one canned food item. All of the food items will be given to the Shawnee Salvation Army in time to help feed needy families during the holiday season.
Opening Reception, November 6 at 7:00pm
