PASSing with the MGMoA enables 7th-12th grade educators to use the MGMoA to create a unique classroom experience for students--at the Museum!  This program provides educators with lessons that include applicable Oklahoma PASS objectives to be completed at the MGMoA.  All of the lessons integrate objects from the MGMoA into your curriculum, giving students and educators an exciting way and place to experience education!

The program begins with a guided tour and art project facilitated by a museum educator.  Students are then given time in the galleries (with their teachers and chaperones) to complete teacher-selected activities in the PASSing with the MGMoA guide or other activities developed by the teacher.  These activities are facilitated by the teacher or the students themselves.  Upon request, the group can be given access to select study collection objects after the art project or after the gallery activities.

This program allows older students much-appreciated time "on their own" in the galleries to focus on the pieces that interest them.  This allows students to make personal connections with the artworks and to develop a sense of ownership of the museum.
