Fairy Tales in Miniature

Russian Lacquer Boxes from the Lucy Maxym Collection

September 14 – October 27, 2013

These delicate, hand-made pieces take months to create from the pâpier-maché box, to the lacquering, to the detailed miniature painting.  Each is a unique work of art.  The subject of the art is often Russian fairy tales and legends featuring kings, queens and far away lands.

Exhibiton Reception: October 4, 7pm

Featuring award-winning storyteller, Mary Grace Ketner.
