Monart Realistic Drawing

Students will learn to draw realistically by focusing on five basic elements of shape families that combine to form all objects.

Watercolor

Learn how to paint with watercolors; experience a variety of techniques to make your watercolor paintings have depth and interest, including layering, masking, resist, and more!

Theater for Kids

Theater for Kids ages 5-10

This class will introduce students to basic acting skills and the theatre production process. Students will participate in a variety of acting games and exercises that inspire creativity and teach theatre terminology.

CERAMIC VESSELS AND MORE

Learn methods of working clay to create vessels, including slab, coil, and other techniques.  All pieces will be glazed and fired (not air dry).

Printmaking

Students learn to create fine art prints with a variety of methods: lino cut, monoprints, and screen printing. They create original art and make multiples!

Cancelation Policy

The MGMoA relies on confirmed attendance to make important arrangements for classes. Payment must be made to secure your place in class.  Please notify the museum of any cancelation no fewer than 7 days prior to the first day of the class for a refund of tuition fees (less applicable credit card or processing fees). Refunds cannot be made for cancellations initiated after that deadline, or for “no shows,” for any reason.  Class registration may be transferred to another person.  Please, contact the MGMoA education department to make arrangements.

In the extremely rare event that the MGMoA needs to cancel a class without rescheduling, participants will be contacted immediately and given a full refund of tuition for cancelled classes.  The MGMoA will not be held responsible for refunding travel expenses.

Inclement Weather Policy

Classes are cancelled for inclement weather if Shawnee Schools cancels classes or activities or St. Gregory’s Campus  closes  or if we are concerned for the safety of our students. In most cases, classes/events will be rescheduled.
