Arts on the Prairie: A History of Early Oklahoma Art features early Oklahoma artists such as Fr. Gregory Gerrer, O.S.B., Oscar Jacobson, and Nan Sheets. These artists supported and nurtured the arts in this young state. These artists were inspired by the wide-open spaces, amazing sunsets, and friendly people.
